1. Lessons consist of two factors:learning songs the student wants to learn and the theory behind those songs, such as scales, and chords.
In this way the students better understand the theory behind the songs thery'e playing.
2.I provide a clear lesson plan with goals and structure. The truth about being a good player are guarded secrets that I share with the students
which means that if applied the results are golden!!!
3.Another emphasis I work on is timing which I achieve through using a meternome and through playing the songs along with the student.
This does two things: improves the students timing playing with others and makes lessons fun which expands their longing to learn more.
4.Music lessons have great benefits such as:better grades,higher self-esteem,more confidence,good social skills...and more.
5.The time is yours to start achieving your musical goals.I'm ready and willing to help you achieve those goals.
TESTIMONAL:John has given our son lessons for about 7 months and we couldn't be happier. John is always prompt and never rushes the lesson. He is very skilled and he is a good instructor. Our son has improved vastly both in skill and in technical knowledge.
"Greg Jackson"
I've been a student of John's for about a year now and he has been a most excellent teacher. I was self taught for about a year and I could play chords and maybe a little bit of finger picking on my own, but other than that, I'd hardly call myself a guitarist or musician. With John, I've learned tons of theory, (scales, keys, etc.) technique, (tapping, fast picking, sweeping, etc.) and really cool songs I never thought I'd have been able to do without him helping me to realize I could. I am very pleased to have John as a teacher and he has helped me leaps and bounds to be closer and closer to becoming a musician.
